“Trump’s 10-Day Deadline to Approve Epstein Files Disclosure”

Donald Trump has a ten-day window to approve the bill mandating the disclosure of the Epstein files following its passage by Congress late last night. Initially, Trump opposed the release of the files and actively urged House members to distance themselves from the petition advocating for it.

However, his stance shifted earlier this week, as he indicated his support for House Republicans to pass the measure, which necessitates the files to be made public in a searchable format within 30 days. Trump’s argument revolves around the notion that he is indifferent to the release of the files since Epstein’s associates were predominantly Democrats.

He affirmed his intention to sign the bill upon its arrival at his desk, stating, “We have nothing to do with Epstein. The Democrats do. All of his friends were Democrats.” Emphasizing that the issue primarily concerns Democrats, he urged for a swift review without excessive discussion, underscoring his belief that the entire matter is a Democratic problem.

The implication is that Trump assumes he could not be implicated in the files due to his Republican affiliation. However, there is a flaw in this reasoning.

Donald Trump maintained a friendship with Jeffrey Epstein from the late 80s until approximately 2007, when he claims to have barred the notorious figure from his Mar A Lago club in Palm Beach, Florida. Notably, during this period, Trump was aligned with the Democratic Party.

As Trump’s actions continue to captivate global attention, the Mirror has introduced a dedicated US Politics WhatsApp community to provide subscribers with the latest updates from across the Atlantic. During the period encompassing the Justice Department’s investigation and the Epstein files, Trump was not only associated with Epstein but also identified as a Democrat. Trump officially registered as a Democrat between August 2001 and September 2009, coinciding with the time frame of Epstein’s federal indictment from 2002 to 2005.
