Viewers observing the initial group of UK celebrities facing challenges in The Traitors fortress have noticed a disparity in treatment compared to past contestants. While the current famous participants are shown enjoying extravagant meals, former civilian show contender Rayan Rachedi revealed a stark contrast from his experience on the show.
Rayan, who took part in the inaugural season of the popular BBC reality program and finished in 13th place, shared on Twitter /X an image depicting the current stars indulging in sizable steak portions during dinner.
He remarked, “I can confirm that steak was never on the menu during the non-celebrity series. #CelebrityTraitors ” accompanied by a crying emoji.
Fans also noted the luxurious food offerings. One user responded, “oh these celebs are having it goooodddd,” along with a broken heart emoji.
Rayan humorously mentioned he wasn’t keen on being famous but the thought of steak made him reconsider. When asked about the meals served, he explained, “It’s mostly standard cafeteria fare – some proteins (often chicken for meat eaters).
“Some vegetables, occasionally something more exciting like mac and cheese or enchiladas (which I enjoyed) or fried chicken (which I disliked since I was close to elimination). I’d rate it a 7/10.”
The ongoing celebrity season of the show has captivated audiences with its series of unexpected twists. The latest episode featured Charlotte Church as the latest eliminated star after targeting Jonathan Ross. While Ross faced speculation during deliberation, Mark Bonnar and David Olusoga garnered the most votes.
The episode concluded with a suspenseful cliffhanger as a tied vote led host Claudia to announce that the fate of Mark and David would be decided by chance.
Deemed the ‘best episode ever’ due to a groundbreaking format change, viewers enthusiastically shared their reactions on social media, with one writing, “The fate-driven exile twist, a long-standing rule, was a surprise to witness in action. Absolutely cinematic. #CelebrityTraitors.”
