Sarah Ferguson’s close associate has disclosed that she is on the brink of a ‘nervous breakdown’ as her distressed daughters are pulled into the scandal surrounding her connection with Jeffrey Epstein.
Despite being divorced for several years, the former wife of Prince Andrew staunchly defended him throughout his downfall, even residing in the same household. However, it is Sarah’s own ties to Epstein that have led to a rapid deterioration of her public image. An email she sent to the disgraced financier, contradicting her public statement of cutting ties, recently surfaced, labeling Epstein as a “supreme friend.” Her team justified the email by citing fears of threats to her family.
Subsequently, the charitable organizations long associated with her distanced themselves, stating it would be unsuitable for her to represent them further. Following a brief phone call with his “weary and angry” older brother, King Charles, Prince Andrew declared relinquishing his royal titles permanently, a decision that Sarah also agreed upon. He refutes all accusations against him.
A royal expert, who conversed with one of Sarah’s acquaintances, has now asserted that Sarah is on the verge of a potential “nervous breakdown.” According to Phil Dampier, Sarah’s older sister Jane flew from Australia to offer support in the UK during this tumultuous period.
In an interview with Woman’s Day, the expert elaborated on Sarah’s emotional state, highlighting her need for assistance and the sense of being unfairly targeted amidst the ongoing turmoil. Additional revelations this week suggested that Sarah and her daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, reportedly “celebrated” Epstein’s release from prison in 2009.
Allegations surfaced that Epstein had instructed his lawyer to have Sarah deny statements disavowing him in an email from March 2011. Sarah’s circle reported that she and her daughters have no recollection of the purported visit mentioned in the email.
Lizzie Cundy, a friend of Sarah, defended her on the Jeremy Vine show, describing Sarah’s distress over losing her charitable affiliations due to the email scandal. Cundy emphasized Sarah’s personal struggles, including a recent cancer diagnosis, portraying her as a deeply affected mother enduring a challenging time.
