“Tyson Fury Reveals Top 3 Opponents for Boxing Comeback”

Tyson Fury has unveiled his shortlist of three opponents for his upcoming boxing comeback, with a highly anticipated bout against Anthony Joshua being a top priority.

The ‘Gypsy King’ previously announced his retirement from the sport after consecutive losses to Oleksandr Usyk but has since made a surprising reversal. Recent months have shown Fury intensifying his training regime, with his current focus on honing his skills in Thailand in preparation for a significant return to the ring.

Aged 37, Fury has been training alongside WBC bridgerweight champion Kevin Lerena, openly discussing potential matchups. Following his defeat to Usyk in December 2024, Fury has persistently expressed interest in a rematch with his longstanding rival.

In addition to a potential Usyk rematch, the former two-time heavyweight champion is also eyeing fights with compatriots Joshua and Fabio Wardley. Fury recently shared a captivating image on his official Instagram account, depicting confrontational visuals with the three aforementioned heavyweight contenders.

Speculation arose after Fury hinted at the possibility of facing Wardley, indicating a potential match later in 2026. Wardley’s impressive victory over Joseph Parker last October elevated him to the status of WBO interim titleholder, subsequently promoted to full champion after Usyk relinquished the title.

Although a trilogy fight with Usyk seems unlikely following comments from Usyk’s advisor, Serhii Lapin, there is considerable anticipation among fans for a showdown between Fury and Joshua. However, recent uncertainties surrounding Joshua’s future, stemming from a tragic car accident in Nigeria that claimed the lives of two close associates, have cast doubt on the timing of the much-anticipated match.

Fury’s promoter, Frank Warren, has acknowledged the uncertainty surrounding a potential Fury-Joshua bout, hinting that the match might not materialize until late 2026, if at all. Warren emphasized the need for sensitivity towards Joshua’s situation, acknowledging the emotional toll of the recent tragedy on the boxer’s mental state and highlighting the importance of providing support during such challenging times.
