“Prince Andrew Faces Public Backlash Amid New Allegations”

Prince Andrew has renounced his royal titles and distinctions, but the public outcry persists as more allegations against King Charles’s younger brother surface. Despite not using the titles of Duke and Duchess of York, Andrew and his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, still legally retain them at present.

There has been ongoing debate regarding whether this action is sufficient in light of serious accusations against the former couple, with 80% of Britons suggesting that they should vacate their opulent residence at Royal Lodge. Andrew holds a secure 75-year lease on the property, and as long as he can cover operational and maintenance expenses, he cannot be compelled to relocate. While the source of Andrew’s finances remains unclear since Charles ceased his regular financial support, recent revelations indicate that he has not paid rent on the property for several years.

A controversial biography detailing Andrew and Sarah’s lives, titled “The Rise and Fall of the House of York” by Andrew Lownie, alleged instances of Andrew’s disrespectful behavior towards staff and his insistence on strict adherence to Royal Family protocols. Despite various claims made in the book regarding their finances, relationships, and connections with convicted sex offenders Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, Prince Andrew has consistently denied all accusations.

A new claim surfaced recently from former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond, echoing Andrew’s reputed attitude during a time of personal turmoil for the late Queen, whom he was close to. In 1992, a fire at Windsor Castle resulted in the destruction of 115 rooms, including nine state rooms. The Queen, known for her composure in public, was visibly distressed by the incident, a rare display of emotion for her.

During the aftermath of the fire, Andrew participated in the efforts to salvage items from the blaze, describing the damage as “horrific.” Despite the emotionally charged environment, Andrew allegedly displayed a fixation on status when questioned by Bond about the Queen’s well-being.

Bond recounted an interaction where she inquired about the Queen’s state, to which Andrew reportedly corrected her, emphasizing the use of the full title “Her Majesty the Queen.” This incident was cited as an example of Andrew’s preoccupation with formalities and status symbols.
