Coleen Nolan has shared her thoughts on the future of the popular show, Loose Women, amidst ITV’s plans to reduce the program’s budget and airing schedule. Earlier this year, ITV announced that Loose Women will only be broadcast for 30 weeks annually starting from 2026, as part of the network’s cost-cutting measures.
Despite concerns about the impact on the show’s lineup, Coleen reassured fans that none of the regular hosts are planning to depart. She emphasized that there have been no discussions about team members leaving the show.
Speaking to Bella magazine, the long-standing 60-year-old panelist, who has been part of Loose Women since 2000, stated, “There’s no talk of anyone leaving, we just need to adjust to the new schedule.” Coleen highlighted the importance of having a diverse group of women on the panel to provide coverage due to their various commitments outside of the show.
Addressing the initial uncertainty following ITV’s announcement, Coleen mentioned that the morale among the team has improved significantly as they now have a clearer understanding of the network’s decisions and the implications for the show.
Dismissing rumors of conflicts among the panelists, Coleen described the camaraderie among them as akin to a family. She reflected on her past as a member of The Nolans, a successful girl group from the 70s to mid-2000s, and the challenges faced after reuniting with her sisters.
In a personal note, Coleen shared the impact of losing her sister Linda to breast cancer earlier this year, revealing how it affected her emotionally and led her to seek therapy, which she credits as a positive step in her healing process.
