Vladimir Putin has announced the successful testing of a new deadly underwater weapon, claiming it to be unstoppable. The weapon, known as Poseidon high-speed torpedo, is equipped with a nuclear warhead and powered by its own atomic reactor. Russian experts suggest that this weapon has the potential to create tidal waves and devastate islands and coastal areas, with Moscow viewing it as a critical asset in the event of a World War Three scenario.
Russian state television has been advocating for the deployment of this weapon against the UK amid escalating tensions between the nations. Prominent Putin supporter, Vladimir Solovyov, issued chilling warnings to the UK, stating that there would be no Britain left if Poseidon is unleashed and even suggesting that the British should learn to breathe underwater in preparation.
Solovyov, a wealthy Putin propagandist, further fueled fear by questioning the UK’s ability to withstand an attack involving Poseidon, labeling the weapon as a doomsday device. He also recommended the evacuation of Russian diplomats in London and Edinburgh as a precautionary measure, excluding those he deemed as traitors to Russia.
Putin himself praised the capabilities of the Poseidon weapon, highlighting its successful launch from a carrier submarine and activation of its nuclear power plant. He emphasized the significant power of Poseidon, surpassing even Russia’s advanced intercontinental ballistic missile, the Sarmat (also known as Satan-2).
The Poseidon torpedo, reportedly capable of underwater speeds up to 115mph and operating at depths exceeding 3,000ft, is designed to carry nuclear warheads of up to 100 megatons, posing a grave threat of catastrophic destruction when deployed.
