Ikea has rolled out a new discount offer for thousands of employees throughout the UK. Teachers and healthcare workers are now eligible for a 6% discount at Ikea stores, thanks to a recent collaboration with savings platforms Discounts for Teachers and Health Service Discounts.
Previously, members could enjoy a 4% discount on Ikea’s website, but the enhanced offer now extends to in-store purchases as well. To avail of the discount, shoppers need to log into the relevant app and scan their code at the checkout.
Jen Haslam, Chief Revenue Officer at Discounts for Teachers and Health Service Discounts, expressed pride in bringing this Ikea discount to their members, emphasizing the importance of recognizing the contributions of teachers and healthcare workers.
Nikos Koskinas, Retail Partnerships Manager at Discounts for Teachers and Health Service Discounts, highlighted the positive impact of offering this exclusive saving both online and in-store at Ikea, emphasizing the commitment to providing valuable deals for education and healthcare professionals across the UK.
In another development, Ikea has introduced a £2 click and collect fee for online orders picked up at its stores since September 2025. However, members of the Family loyalty scheme can still utilize this service at no cost.
Customers can also collect orders from designated Tesco car parks, DPD, or locker pick-up points, with fees applicable for orders below a specific amount. Ikea Family members can avail of free click and collect services from Tesco or self-serve lockers for orders over £100 or from DPD points for orders over £60, while fees for click and collect range from £2 to £5.
An Ikea spokesperson emphasized the company’s commitment to transparent pricing and enhancing delivery options and click and collect services for customer convenience. The introduction of the £2 fee for non-Ikea Family members aims to ensure the financial sustainability of delivery and collection services, while Ikea Family members continue to enjoy free collection across all click and collect options.
