Some Sky customers are facing a frustrating issue with the popular ITVX app. Users have reported experiencing interruptions during viewing, where the program suddenly skips to the end without any manual input. This glitch seems to have started recently, with complaints surfacing on Sky’s forum page.
Dazzasky, a Sky user, shared on the forum about the problem, mentioning that the ITV Player skips to the end of episodes randomly, causing inconvenience for several days. Another user named Dawn also expressed similar issues of programs jumping to the end unexpectedly, especially at the start or after ad breaks.
The problem seems to affect users using Sky’s online devices like Sky Stream boxes and Glass TVs. Although it’s uncertain if Sky Q is also impacted, most complaints are from users with broadband-connected devices rather than satellite dishes.
While the cause of the issue remains unknown, a Sky employee named Kev has acknowledged the problem and assured users that they are actively working on a solution in collaboration with ITV. Kev mentioned in a forum post that they are aware of the frustration caused by the glitch and have escalated the matter to support teams for resolution.
As of now, users may have to endure the skipping problem, but a fix is in progress. Mirror Online will provide updates on the situation as more information becomes available.
