Actress Ruth Codd Exposes Celebrity Hierarchy

Popular TV show “Celebrity Traitors” actress Ruth Codd recently criticized the perceived hierarchy among the celebrities on the BBC program. In candid remarks, she discussed the challenges she faced off-screen, shedding light on her experience and how her assertive nature left her feeling isolated.

Ruth garnered a strong fan following for her straightforward approach on the show, but her outspokenness ultimately led to her character’s demise after she raised suspicions about Jonathan Ross.

Following her exit from the show, Ruth disclosed details about the backstage dynamics, highlighting what she perceived as a hierarchy that contributed to her departure. She expressed feeling disadvantaged due to her relatively short tenure in the industry.

Addressing the issue, Ruth stated, “There was probably an unspoken hierarchy in there, and that placed certain people like myself at a disadvantage because I haven’t been in the industry very long. Sometimes being a strong woman can be lonely, because you’re branded as aggressive and difficult. I don’t think I’m any of those things. I just speak my mind.”

Her comments sparked a lively online debate about potential divisions among the participants of “Celebrity Traitors.” While some viewers argued that even well-known figures like Paloma Faith, Tom Daley, and Clare Balding met similar fates, others speculated that Ruth’s actions, particularly her confrontation with Jonathan Ross, might have contributed to her character’s demise.

Furthermore, observations were made about the age and career stages of the contestants, noting that Ruth, along with Niko Omilana and Cat Burns, were relatively young and early in their careers. Ruth was the third to exit the show, with Niko being the first to leave, leaving Cat as the sole remaining contestant.

Speculation arose that a hidden hierarchy might be influencing the show, with some fans suggesting that certain individuals, like Cat, might be favored for flying under the radar. Comparisons were drawn to Niko’s experience, who also faced challenges on the show.

Niko, in his own commentary, criticized the group dynamics, describing the celebrities as the “worst faithfuls ever” and detailing intense behind-the-scenes interactions. He emphasized the pressure and conflicts that unfolded during discussions on the show.

The Mirror reached out to the BBC for a response to the unfolding events and controversies surrounding “Celebrity Traitors.”
