Millions of Sky Mobile subscribers will experience an increase in their monthly bills starting next month following the recent announcement of a price hike. The majority of customers can expect a rise of £1.50 per month, totaling an annual increase of £18, though some individuals may see varying adjustments to their bills.
The revised pricing will take effect on February 14, 2026, marking the first rate adjustment for in-contract Sky Mobile customers in over seven years. Those dissatisfied with the price increment and within the minimum contract term have the option to terminate their package without incurring early termination fees.
Notably, the cost of the Sky Mobile social tariff, designed for low-income individuals, will remain unchanged.
Sky attributed the price adjustment to escalating wholesale network expenses and assured customers that they would be notified of the upcoming billing changes starting today. A Sky Mobile representative explained that the £1.50 monthly increase for most customers is necessary to uphold the expected quality, service, and value. The decision was made in consideration of industry-wide cost challenges and the need to continue investing in network infrastructure and customer experience.
In a similar move, O2 revealed plans to raise monthly mobile bills by £2.50 for almost all contract customers from April 2026, up from the initially proposed £1.80 increase. Additionally, Three mobile customers opting for data plans of 4GB or less will face a £1.80 monthly rise from April 2026, an 80p increment from the current £1 hike.
Customers with data plans ranging from 4GB to 100GB will experience a £1.90 monthly increase, while those with over 100GB will see a £2.30 rise. Three broadband users are set to encounter a £3.50 monthly escalation from April 2026.
Vodafone mobile subscribers who sign up for new deals after November 12 will witness a £2.50 monthly increase, or £1.50 for Basics SIM plans. Moreover, Vodafone broadband customers are slated for a £3.50 monthly price adjustment. Existing Vodafone and Three broadband or mobile contract holders will face the previously agreed-upon price adjustments.
This series of price hikes across major telecommunication providers is a response to industry-wide cost pressures, necessitating adjustments to maintain service quality and network investments.
