A man who targeted young girls as young as 10 broke down in tears and apologized to his mother as he was sentenced for his appalling crimes. Lucifer Hunter, a depraved individual, pretended to be a 16-year-old boy to manipulate and coerce children into engaging in sexual acts. He used various social media platforms like Xbox, TikTok, Snapchat, and Instagram to contact his victims, bombarding them with explicit messages and pressuring them for inappropriate photos, referring to himself as “Daddy”.
One victim reported that Hunter performed lewd acts in front of her during a FaceTime call and demanded similar actions from the girls or explicit images related to his fetish for young girls in tights. He resorted to threats and harassment if they refused his demands. Hunter even went as far as threatening to send someone to rape one girl and told another she would go to prison for sharing images. The victims were terrified that their photos would be shared with family and friends.
Hunter, appearing in Canterbury Crown Court, received a five-year prison sentence for pleading guilty to 14 offenses related to online child sexual activity, sexual communication, and possessing indecent images. Prosecutors revealed that Hunter targeted four girls aged between 10 and 15 over a span of four years. He would switch from a friendly demeanor to aggressive and threatening behavior when his demands were not met.
One victim, who lived far from Hunter, expressed fear and anxiety upon hearing about the police visit. She described him as a predator and recounted feeling unsafe after Hunter tracked her movements and showed up at an event she attended. The victim detailed how Hunter made threats and caused significant distress.
During the sentencing, it was revealed that Hunter possessed toddlers’ undergarments and a collection of indecent images. Victim statements painted a grim picture of the emotional toll Hunter’s actions had taken on the girls and their families. Despite pleas for a suspended sentence due to his mental health conditions, the judge deemed Hunter’s behavior as calculated, persistent, and harmful, warranting a five-year prison term.
Hunter, visibly emotional, turned to his mother and tearfully apologized after learning his sentence. The judge emphasized the severity of his actions, highlighting the deliberate and manipulative nature of his offenses. Hunter was led away to begin his five-year prison term.
