Donald Trump addressed concerns about his health by disclosing that he underwent a ‘perfect’ MRI scan during a recent visit to a hospital. The 79-year-old mentioned receiving the scan at Walter Reed National Military Medical Centre in Bethesda, Maryland, a facility commonly chosen by US presidents for medical assessments.
Amid growing speculation about his health, particularly due to visible bruises on his hand, Trump, set to be the oldest president in US history if he completes his term, confirmed a previous examination for leg swelling and a diagnosis of chronic venous insufficiency in July.
During a press briefing on Air Force One, Trump confirmed his hospital visit and shared that the MRI results were flawless. He emphasized the thoroughness of the examination and praised the quality of his medical reports, stating that his doctors provided exceptional feedback for his age.
Following the checkup, President Trump’s physician, Capt. Sean Barbarella, reported that Trump’s cardiac age was notably younger than his actual age by approximately 14 years. The comprehensive health assessment included advanced imaging, laboratory tests, and preventive health evaluations, all of which yielded outstanding results.
Touching down in Japan for a diplomatic visit, Trump is scheduled to meet with Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi and has already met Emperor Naruhito at the Imperial Palace. The warm reception in Tokyo included lighting landmarks in the colors of the American flag to mark the occasion.
