The recent rankings have unveiled the leading brands in the UK, with Marks and Spencer emerging as the top brand. Marks and Spencer secured the top position in the UK according to the YouGov BrandIndex tool, which assesses various factors such as impression, quality, value, satisfaction, recommendation, and reputation over the past year. Despite facing a cyber attack in 2025 that disrupted online shopping for months, Marks and Spencer clinched the top spot. Following closely in the top five are IKEA, Samsung, John Lewis, and Netflix.
Post Office has been recognized as the most improved brand, driven by an increase in satisfaction and a better public perception following the Horizon IT scandal. Royal Mail and Fujitsu secured the second and third spots for most improved brands.
On a global scale, WhatsApp claimed the top spot in the best brand rankings, with strong performance particularly in India and Indonesia. Samsung, YouTube, and Google followed in the rankings.
YouGov’s CEO and Co-founder, Stephan Shakespeare, emphasized the importance of strong brands that establish a connection with consumers. The Best Brand Rankings by YouGov reflect companies that have sustained consumer appeal over the past year based on over six million interviews across 28 markets. Marks and Spencer’s CEO, Stuart Machin, expressed gratitude for being recognized as the UK’s Best Brand for the fourth consecutive year, attributing the achievement to customer feedback and trust. Machin commended the efforts of the company’s employees and highlighted the continuous drive for improvement and growth.
