Taylor Swift Songs Pulled from Trump Campaign Videos

Several songs by Taylor Swift have been taken down from social media videos shared by U.S. President Donald Trump’s campaign and the White House. These entities had utilized two of the popular American singer’s tracks in the past week.

Neither the White House nor a representative for Taylor Swift has responded to requests for comments at this time.

Although Taylor Swift has not recently addressed Donald Trump directly, she did endorse his Democratic opponent, then-Vice President Kamala Harris, in 2024. During the 2020 election season, Swift made it clear on social media that she did not support Trump as the president.

Trump has been vocal in his criticism of Taylor Swift. Following her endorsement of Harris, the Republican leader expressed disdain for the pop star on social media, stating, “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!” He further commented, “Has anyone noticed that, since I said ‘I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT,’ she’s no longer ‘HOT?'”

Many artists, including Sabrina Carpenter and Ariana Grande, have urged the Trump administration not to use their music in any capacity.

Famous Swift Songs Referenced on TikTok

The recent TikTok videos by the Trump campaign incorporated two Taylor Swift songs in their content. One video, inspired by her lyrics, included a caption alluding to well-known songs by the artist, such as “Red (Donald Trump’s Version).”

Back in June, Trump’s campaign shared a video on the short-video platform featuring Swift’s latest track “I Knew It, I Knew You” from the movie Toy Story 5. The video portrayed Trump engaging with children at the White House, dancing at a UFC match, and participating in a rally, with the caption emphasizing his love for the country and its people.

This marked the third instance where the Trump administration or campaign had incorporated Taylor Swift’s songs in their recent media content.
