Sky has recently announced upcoming price increases starting in April for certain broadband and TV subscribers. Broadband users can expect a monthly rise of £3, while premium TV packages will see an increase ranging from £1 to £3. Sky has assured that affected customers will be notified starting today.
Under Sky’s flexible pricing model, customers under a minimum contract term have the option to cancel their package without facing early termination fees. The revised prices will take effect from April onward.
In a positive development, Sky will be including HBO Max, Disney+, and Hayu in the standard package for millions of TV customers starting next month. This addition complements the existing inclusion of Netflix, bringing the total value of streaming apps to £20 per month.
A Sky spokesperson emphasized that the price adjustments are necessary to sustain investments in fast broadband, premium entertainment, live sports, and reliable services while managing industry-wide cost escalations. These changes come on the heels of recent bill increases for Sky Mobile customers, with most experiencing a £1.50 monthly hike, effective February 14, 2026.
For customers dissatisfied with the price hikes and within their contractual minimum term, cancellation without penalties is an option. Notably, the price of Sky Mobile’s social tariff, catering to low-income individuals, will remain unchanged. Consumers who are out of contract are advised to compare prices online, review their usage patterns, and consider switching providers or negotiating for better deals. Eligibility for a discounted social tariff should also be explored, especially for those receiving benefits.
