The family of a young boy who was thrown from the 10th floor of an art gallery in London six years ago has provided an encouraging update. The French child, who was just six at the time, suffered severe injuries after being attacked at the Tate Modern by teenager Jonty Bravery in August 2019. The boy’s family recently shared that he has shown remarkable progress, now able to run, jump, and swim again.
Referred to as the ‘Little Knight’ by his family, the boy successfully accomplished a 2.5-hour cycling journey from his home to the seaside this summer. Although he is scheduled for another significant operation early next year, expected to render him inactive for two months, he has regained physical abilities.
The family reminisced about their son’s determination to reach the beach for a picnic, highlighting his improved memory skills and growing social interactions with other children. Despite requiring ten rehabilitation sessions weekly, the boy can only attend half of his classes due to his health needs. His family is actively seeking a new school that can accommodate his rigorous rehabilitation schedule.
The family expressed their plans to relocate to a school that can support their son’s educational and health requirements. They acknowledged the upcoming operation in early 2026 as a challenging yet crucial step towards his continued progress. The boy, although apprehensive about the surgery, is encouraged by his surgeon’s optimism about the positive outcomes.
The family shared these updates on a GoFundMe page established to aid in the boy’s recovery journey, which has garnered over £476,000 in donations. Jonty Bravery, who committed the heinous act, was sentenced to at least 15 years in prison after pleading guilty to attempted murder.
