“Hero Dog Walker Killed in Uxbridge Stabbing: Company Mourns Loss”

A dog walker hailed as a hero was tragically killed in Uxbridge, leaving his employer, Greener Ealing Ltd, mourning the loss of a valued team member. Wayne Broadhurst, 49, a council worker, was fatally stabbed on Monday evening, while two others, including a 14-year-old boy, were injured in the incident.

Katarina Pohancenikova, the managing director of Greener Ealing Ltd, expressed deep sorrow in a statement, offering condolences to Wayne’s family, friends, and colleagues during this challenging time. She described Wayne as a respected and dedicated member of their team who significantly contributed to their work and the community they serve. The company shared a photo of Wayne wearing a Liverpool football club hat and their high-visibility gear.

Safi Dawood, a 22-year-old Afghan national, has been charged with one count of murder, two counts of attempted murder, and possession of an offensive weapon related to the triple stabbing incident. Dawood, who arrived in the UK in 2020 by lorry, is scheduled to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court.

Jaswant Narwal, Chief Crown Prosecutor for CPS London North, confirmed the charges against Dawood, stating that the prosecution team has gathered sufficient evidence to proceed with the case and deemed it in the public interest to pursue criminal charges. Cooperation between the Crown Prosecution Service and the Metropolitan Police Service has been instrumental in advancing the investigation.
