A 62-year-old woman who works as a beauty teacher was taken into custody for allegedly stabbing her young boyfriend and concealing his body in her backyard. The victim, identified as Alex Sandro da Silva Rocha, 21, was found in Bebedouro, Sao Paulo, Brazil. Authorities stated that he was fatally stabbed in the chest with scissors. Jussara Luzia Fernandes reportedly confessed to the crime.
Earlier this year, Fernandes became a widow when her husband was discovered dead in their swimming pool, with his death being deemed accidental. Following her admission of guilt, the Civil Police have initiated an investigation into this recent incident.
During a search of her residence, authorities questioned Fernandes, who initially denied any involvement. However, officers noticed a freshly dug hole in the backyard near the house. Despite her claim that it was for her deceased dog, the Fire Department unearthed the victim’s body.
Subsequently, Fernandes admitted to engaging in a heated argument with her boyfriend, leading her to use scissors in self-defense and fatally wound him. It was revealed that she had hired someone to dig a grave for him.
Detective Joao Vitor Silverio disclosed that Fernandes involved her son in moving the body out of the house. She is currently detained and facing charges of homicide and corpse concealment.
The victim’s mother, Ivonete Ribeiro da Silva, spoke out against Fernandes, describing her son’s relationship as abusive. She mentioned that her son was trying to end the connection as he felt controlled by Fernandes, whom she characterized as possessive and jealous. Da Silva expressed hope for justice to prevail in this tragic situation.
Da Silva further alleged that her daughter-in-law impersonated her son to mislead family members, indicating that the victim had left the area. According to Da Silva, her son wanted to break free from Fernandes’ control due to the toxic nature of their relationship. She also claimed that Fernandes once ran over her son’s foot with a car during a heated argument.
