In Liverpool, a 45-year-old man was apprehended by authorities for possessing a large quantity of Dairy Milk bars, suspected to be stolen. The man was discovered in possession of the chocolate bars after a member of the public reported him for breaking into a McDonald’s staff room on Blundell Street, Brunswick, where he also allegedly stole AirPods.
Merseyside Police took the man into custody on suspicion of burglary and handling stolen goods. Constable Wilton from the Liverpool city center Neighbourhood Policing Team commended the swift action that led to the suspect’s arrest. The investigation is ongoing, with a focus on identifying businesses that may have recently lost a significant amount of chocolate.
Following the incident, social media users amused themselves with puns and jokes about the chocolate thief. The public reacted humorously, with comments like “Enough for all the station staff to enjoy” and “Bit of a fruit and nut case.”
In a separate case, Richard Brown, aged 46, was sentenced to 14 months in jail for a series of thefts from various stores in Nottinghamshire. Brown targeted supermarkets and shops, stealing items totaling over £1,500, including alcohol and food. He was caught on CCTV stealing from an M&S Foodhall and was eventually apprehended by police at a Specsavers store.

His spree included multiple thefts from establishments like Greggs, JD Sport, Co-op, Tesco Express, Sainsbury’s, and Marks & Spencer. Additionally, he violated a criminal behavior order that restricted him from specific supermarkets in the area.
