Conversely, the most expensive filling station in the UK is an ASDA site on the M74 Southbound, South Lanarkshire, where standard petrol is priced at 171.9p per litre, totaling £95 to fill up an average family car.
Diesel prices have outpaced unleaded petrol increases, rising by around 9p per litre since the start of the Iran conflict. Drivers of diesel vehicles can find the best rates at an ASDA garage in Kingswood, Hull, where standard diesel costs 134.9p per litre, as reported by retailers.
