“Snowfall Expected in Northern Scotland Today”

As temperatures drop and nights lengthen, winter seems to be approaching, bringing the possibility of snow to some regions today. The latest weather model maps indicate that parts of Scotland, including the Highlands, Inverness, and the Cairngorms, may experience snowfall throughout the day.

The heaviest snowfall is expected around 6 pm, with certain areas likely to see snow accumulation. While the data suggests snowfall rates of up to 10cm per hour in some places, the maps show that only around 1cm is expected to settle on the ground.

According to the BBC Weather forecast, northern Scotland will experience cloudy and wet conditions today, with scattered showers in the north. The outlook for tomorrow includes breezy conditions, with a mix of sunshine, patchy clouds, and occasional heavy showers in Scotland.

Looking ahead to Thursday to Saturday, the weather is expected to start chilly and bright but will turn cloudy with rain moving from the south and west. Friday may bring brief brightness before more rain and strong winds arrive later in the day, with Saturday seeing a mix of sunshine and showers after the rain clears.

The Met Office’s late November forecast suggests unsettled weather initially across the UK, with showers, longer periods of rain, and potential strong winds. Temperatures are likely to remain around normal, with the latter part of the month expected to see drier and finer weather, albeit with possible overnight fog and frost, mainly affecting the northern regions of the UK.
