“Selena Gomez Sued Over Mental Health Startup Failure”

Selena Gomez, a renowned singer and actor, faced a lawsuit on Thursday from investors alleging fraud due to her failure to fulfill obligations in developing and promoting her mental health startup. The investors, who collectively invested nearly $1.2 million in Wondermind Global, a venture established in 2021 to enhance users’ mental fitness, claimed in a lawsuit filed in federal court in Delaware that Gomez, a prominent figure on social media with over 500 million followers, had committed to actively participating in the company’s marketing efforts. However, they contended that Gomez and other company executives did not uphold their commitments, such as the creation of a promised mobile application.

According to the lawsuit, Gomez purportedly signed a contract committing to her role but allegedly neglected it. The investors argued that the company failed to materialize as a viable venture and did not fulfill basic obligations like timely payment to employees and vendors. The plaintiffs were reportedly unaware of the company’s challenges until a news report in September 2025 exposed the situation. They are now seeking to recover their investments along with legal fees.

Representatives for Gomez have not yet responded to requests for comments on the matter.
