After a day of park maintenance, Chad returned to his camper to find his steak missing. Initially suspecting a bear, he discovered a hole in the window screen, indicating a smaller intruder. Investigating further, Chad heard a growl under his bed, leading to the discovery of a pine marten, a weasel family member. The pine marten quickly retreated up a tree, allowing Chad to enjoy a meal with Mr. Noodle, reflecting on the unexpected wildlife encounters that remind him of the animals’ wild nature in their forest habitat.
