Liam Payne’s partner, Kate Cassidy, has revealed images of her friend’s damaged new vehicle following a severe car accident. The American influencer was in a relationship with the singer from the band One Direction at the time of his passing at 31 in October last year.
Taking to Instagram, she shared a video of herself entering a blue Lamborghini with the caption “How it began,” followed by footage of the crash aftermath with the caption “How it concluded.” Kate, 26, disclosed that her friend had driven her boyfriend’s brand-new Lamborghini Urus, valued at over £200,000, although she did not mention any injuries sustained in the incident.
In the clip she posted, Kate displayed the car’s damage, showing it stuck on the roadside with a significant hole in its body near the wheel. She added, “Lesson learned – never let your girlfriend drive your new car.”
Supportive messages poured in from fans, with one expressing relief that everyone was unharmed. Kate’s friend, Alexandra Gall, the driver during the accident, also commented, mentioning how fortunate they were to have avoided serious injuries.
Additionally, T Steezy, whose girlfriend was involved in the crash, provided more details on the incident via an Instagram post. Despite the damage to his $240,000 Urus, he emphasized the importance of everyone’s safety over material possessions, noting that they could replace the car.
The accident occurred shortly after Kate resumed posting on social media following the anniversary of Liam’s tragic death. The post-mortem report revealed that the singer succumbed to multiple traumas and internal and external bleeding after falling from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
On the anniversary of his passing, Kate shared a series of photos in a heartfelt tribute to Liam, expressing her enduring grief over his absence. Liam’s sister, Ruth, also honored his memory, highlighting the personal loss experienced by his family beyond the public spectacle surrounding the tragedy.
