“JLS Singer’s Infant Son Hospitalized for Meningitis Scare”

JLS member Oritse Williams’ infant son has been taken to the hospital on suspicion of meningitis. Oritse and his wife, Kazz, were deeply concerned about their son’s health since his birth last year.

The 38-year-old singer shared that their son has had multiple hospital visits recently due to various health issues. The latest hospitalization alarmed the parents as medical professionals mentioned the possibility of meningitis and sepsis. Oritse emphasized the need for constant care for Shiva, especially with Kazz experiencing anxiety following two miscarriages.

Describing their son as a “miracle baby,” Oritse expressed their extreme fear of any illness affecting Shiva. He disclosed that Shiva was readmitted to the hospital due to a viral infection causing dangerously high temperatures, prompting concerns about meningitis and sepsis.

Oritse abruptly left his rehearsals for the upcoming JLS tour to be with his family at the hospital. He mentioned the sleepless nights due to Shiva’s illness and the need to be by his wife’s side throughout this challenging period.

According to the NHS, meningitis symptoms can manifest in any order, with some symptoms possibly not appearing at all. These symptoms include a rash, high temperature, vomiting, rapid breathing, muscle and joint pain, stiff neck, sensitivity to light, and drowsiness or difficulty waking up. Babies may also show symptoms such as feeding refusal, irritability, a high-pitched cry, stiffness or limpness, or a bulging soft spot on the head.

JLS is scheduled to start their tour, The Club Is Alive: 2025 Hits Tour, on November 6 in Glasgow, Scotland, before traveling to various cities in the United Kingdom.

Reflecting on their pregnancy, Oritse and Kazz expressed gratitude for the support they received. Oritse shared his joy about their newborn son, emphasizing the blessing he felt, while Kazz discussed her pregnancy challenges, including anxiety and gestational diabetes.

The article was updated to clarify that Oritse Williams did not speak to The Sun about his son’s health. Instead, he addressed the situation publicly.
