When asked about his upcoming projects, Page responded to host Kevin McCarthy, stating that he has not been inundated with offers following his role as the Greek soldier Sinon in The Odyssey. Page humorously mentioned the “pushback” he sometimes faces for being Canadian, alluding to the transphobic controversy that arose earlier when false rumors circulated about his casting as Achilles.
Following the social media frenzy stirred by right-wing figures such as Ben Shapiro, Megyn Kelly, and Elon Musk regarding the casting speculation, Page was ultimately revealed to have portrayed a different character in the film. Despite this, he has continued to be an outspoken advocate for the 2SLGBTQ+ community, denouncing anti-trans policies and rhetoric in both the U.S. and Canada.
Page, who began his acting career at a young age and is recognized for his roles in Juno, Inception, and Hard Candy, publicly came out as transgender in 2020. He has consistently used his platform to address issues affecting the transgender community, emphasizing the importance of authenticity and acceptance.
Expressing his desire to explore new acting challenges, Page shared on the podcast his increased confidence post-transition, believing that he is now capable of delivering some of his best work.
