Apple has officially rolled out the iOS 27 public beta for select users to test before its full release in September. Interested iPhone users can sign up for the beta program on Apple’s website to explore the upcoming features.
One of the significant improvements in iOS 27 is the enhancement of Siri, Apple’s virtual assistant, making it more efficient in tasks such as information retrieval, message responses, and complex requests. The update also includes a new Visual Intelligence mode in the Camera app for instant object information.
iOS 27 promises improved speed across various iPhone models, with apps launching up to 30% faster, quicker photo loading, and up to 80% faster AirDrop transfers. Users can now customize the transparency of the interface with a new transparency slider and benefit from refreshed app icons and upgraded photo-editing tools.
Additionally, the update ensures better connectivity by seamlessly switching between Wi-Fi and cellular networks for uninterrupted browsing. AirPods users can now personalize their listening experience with the new AirPods Custom EQ feature.
The compatible iPhone models for iOS 27 include various versions from iPhone 17 Pro Max to iPhone SE (2nd generation and later). To access the beta version, users can enroll in the Apple Beta Software Program and update to iOS 27 through the Settings app. However, reverting to a previous version may require a full factory reset, so it is advised to back up data before upgrading.
