Former reality TV personality Elliott Wright has officially announced the sale of his renowned Spanish restaurant, Olivia’s La Cala. The 45-year-old former “TOWIE” star shared the news on Instagram, expressing that after almost ten years of running the establishment, he and his wife Sadie Stuart Wright have made the difficult decision to part ways with the popular venue.
Reflecting on his journey, Elliott disclosed, “In 2015, I embarked on a venture in La Cala de Mijas that many deemed risky. It has been a rollercoaster of emotions, challenges, and joy. While I cherished every moment, it’s time to pass the baton as life consists of different chapters, and the past decade has been remarkable.”
In an accompanying video, Elliott elaborated that the choice was influenced by his family’s needs and the aspirations of his children. With a total of five children, including Elliott Jr, Olivia, Billy, John, and newborn Dolly, Elliott emphasized the importance of unity for his family’s future, prompting a move back to the UK after residing in Spain for over twenty years.
Olivia’s La Cala, named after his daughter, has become a favored destination for celebrities and tourists since its inception in 2015. The restaurant has hosted numerous star-studded events with appearances from Elliott’s fellow “TOWIE” cast members like Mark and Jess Wright, Ferne McCann, and James Argent.
Describing Olivia’s as his “passion” and a “love story,” Elliott shared his sentiment in an exclusive conversation with The Mirror, expressing gratitude for the unforgettable memories created at the venue. The sale will include the beachfront property and the Olivia’s La Cala brand, with a starting bid of €5 million through Bromley Estates Marbella, with all bids due by December 5.
