Marco Pierre White Jr has been sentenced to three years and 10 months in prison for a series of burglaries and shoplifting crimes. The Big Brother personality appeared at Isleworth Crown Court through a video link to receive the verdict after confessing to the offenses earlier in the year.
The son of the renowned Michelin star chef Marco Pierre White had been in custody after pleading guilty to four burglary charges and one count of criminal damage in a spree that spanned across west London and Bath. Despite initially being present when the judge adjourned to deliberate the sentence, Pierre White Jr chose to return to his cell and was absent when the final verdict was announced.
Judge Edwards Connell, during the sentencing, labeled Pierre White Jr as a “prolific acquisitive offender” and described his actions as a “campaign of dishonesty,” highlighting his repeated non-compliance with suspended sentences. The judge emphasized the defendant’s extensive history of dishonesty and his breach of multiple suspended sentence orders.
Additionally, 25 weeks of suspended sentences were activated due to Pierre White Jr’s violation of the terms while committing the crimes, adding to his total prison term. His barrister, Sean Sullivan, attributed the offenses to a long-standing drug addiction, exacerbated by the sudden closure of his treatment center, forcing him to resort to theft to sustain his habit.
Among the crimes admitted by Pierre White Jr were break-ins at a gallery in west London resulting in significant damage and theft of valuable items, along with stealing various goods from different shops. The court also heard how he used a Lime Bike as a means of escape after committing the offenses, and he was found guilty of threatening a store employee during a shoplifting incident.
Pierre White Jr’s criminal activities have led to a substantial prison sentence, with the judge underscoring his persistent disregard for the law and the impact of his actions on the community.
