Revolution Bars Operator Sets Deadline for Sale bids

The company operating Revolution bars has announced a deadline for bids next week as it seeks a potential sale. The Revel Collective, which manages 62 venues under various brands, made the decision to sell in October 2025 due to declining sales.

Reports from Sky News indicate that interested buyers must submit offers by January 9, with FTI Consulting overseeing the formal sale process. Neos Hospitality has shown interest in acquiring some of The Revel Collective sites, although their bid status remains uncertain.

The Mirror reached out to The Revel Collective, formerly known as Revolution Bars, for a statement. The company had initiated a sales process in April 2024 but abandoned it after rejecting a bid from Nightcap. A significant restructuring plan in 2024 led to the closure of approximately 36 sites.

In an update in October 2025, company executives cited challenging economic conditions and government interventions as factors impeding their progress post-restructuring. Revenue saw a 7.4% decline to £26.3 million over three months, primarily driven by a 10.5% drop in bar business sales. The company attributed these challenges to cost-of-living pressures on its younger clientele and a rise in debts to £25.3 million.

Former Pizza Express executive Luke Johnson assumed the chairmanship of The Revel Collective in September, succeeding Keith Edelman. Johnson expressed a proactive approach to acquiring unique businesses with distinctive features and potential market leadership.
