“US Lawmakers Push for Prince Andrew Questioning”

American lawmakers have urged Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor to appear in the US for questioning regarding his association with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. King Charles received accolades from US officials for stripping Andrew of his prince title. The decision to release the Epstein files was overwhelmingly supported by a vote in the US, with officials commending the UK for their swift actions.

Republican Rep Thomas Massie emphasized the need for accountability, drawing parallels between the repercussions faced by British officials like Peter Mandelson and Andrew’s situation. Despite maintaining his innocence, Andrew faces further consequences as his name is removed from plaques in the Falkland Islands.

In a show of solidarity with the UK’s actions, US lawmakers expressed a similar stance on removing honors associated with individuals involved in criminal activities. Democratic Rep Ro Khanna suggested that Prince Andrew might be summoned to testify before Congress, echoing the urgency seen in the British pursuit of justice.

Following heightened scrutiny on Prince Andrew’s ties to Jeffrey Epstein, King Charles finalized the removal of all royal titles from Andrew. Buckingham Palace confirmed the termination of his use of “His Royal Highness” and the revocation of his official patronages and military appointments. This marks the resolution of a prolonged controversy for the royal family, stemming from Andrew’s controversial BBC interview and subsequent withdrawal from public duties.
