Trump Blasts Biden Over White House Shooting

Former President Donald Trump vehemently criticized President Joe Biden’s administration, condemning the White House shooting incident as a ‘crime against humanity’. Trump accused Biden of being the ‘worst president in the history of our country’ for allegedly permitting the entry of ’20 million unknown and unvetted foreigners’.

Speaking to the nation about the tragic event on November 26, where two guards were shot, Trump described it as an ‘evil, hateful, and terroristic act’ that was a ‘crime against the entire nation’. He expressed solidarity with the two guards and their families, emphasizing the nation’s sorrow and anger.

Trump vowed to ensure the perpetrator, identified as Afghan national Rahmanullah Lakanwal, faces severe consequences. He criticized the Biden administration for allegedly flying in Lakanwal in September 2021 on undisclosed flights. The suspect, who had served in the Afghan Army and alongside US Special Forces, had a history of military service in Afghanistan.

Despite Trump’s assertions, a relative of the suspect expressed shock at the incident, highlighting Lakanwal’s background serving in Afghanistan. Trump reiterated concerns about unvetted foreign entries under the previous administration and emphasized the need to reevaluate all individuals arriving from Afghanistan under Biden’s administration.

While an Afghan advocacy group mourned the attack, they cautioned against targeting Afghan resettlers in the US. In response to the assault, Trump deployed an additional 500 soldiers to enhance security in the capital and pledged to ensure justice for the assailant.
