The former Atomic Kitten star shared in her latest column that they were both startled by the computer-generated image showing them holding a baby scan.
“I was genuinely hopeful when I first saw it!” Kerry confessed with her trademark humor. “It was utterly absurd, but I couldn’t help a moment of excitement before realizing it was fake.”
The 45-year-old elaborated that while the prank initially amused her, she also felt it was inappropriate. “Jokes aside, I find it somewhat insensitive to produce such things,” she expressed. Kerry then delved into her emotions about motherhood and life’s uncertainties at her age.
“As a 45-year-old woman who desires another child, I’m uncertain if it will come to fruition,” Kerry acknowledged. “I believe AI in this context is going too far. Utilizing technology creatively is one thing, but fabricating false narratives about real people’s lives is somewhat cruel.”
Despite the letdown, Kerry remains positive and hopeful. She emphasized that she is not ruling out the prospect of expanding her family in the future. “I wished that picture was real, and I will continue to hope it becomes a reality, but as of now, I am definitely not expecting,” she affirmed.
Kerry, a mother of five children, has a blended family with Paolo, who is a father of two daughters from a previous relationship. Reports indicate that even though it has been a while since Kerry has been changing diapers, she is more than prepared.
