The news of his passing was shared by Kristian Petri and Kristina Lindström, the filmmakers behind the 2021 documentary The Most Beautiful Boy in the World, which delved into his life and achievements.

Born in Stockholm in 1955, Andrésen experienced early personal hardships, losing his mother when he was just 10 years old. Raised by his grandmother, he was encouraged by her to pursue acting and modeling.

At the age of 15, Andrésen entered the world of acting, landing a significant role in Luchino Visconti’s Death in Venice as Tadzio, a young man who captivates an older individual’s fixation. This role propelled him to global recognition.

Throughout his career, he appeared in over 30 films and television series, including a minor part in the 2019 horror movie Midsommar.
