The young mother, aged 26, recounted her story on Reddit, stating, “I recently welcomed my daughter, Annabelle. I opted not to disclose the name beforehand due to a past incident where a family member appropriated a baby name, leading to significant turmoil. Despite my mother’s persistence, I remained steadfast in maintaining the name’s secrecy.” She further elaborated that her parents were present during the birth, and her mother, upon the baby’s arrival, inquired about the chosen name when it was time to register the birth.
