BTS Faces Criticism for Attending Chris Brown’s Toronto Show
K-pop sensation BTS is under fire from certain fans following a recent incident where two of its members, J-Hope (Jung Ho-seok) and RM (Kim Nam-joon), were seen posing with controversial American singer Chris Brown at his Toronto concert. The duo attended Brown’s show at Rogers Stadium, where he performed alongside Usher.
Despite the backlash, BTS is still set to take the stage at the same venue on August 22 and 23. Images shared on Brown’s Instagram showed J-Hope and RM enjoying the performance, engaging in dancing and singing along.
Chris Brown has a troubled history, with legal issues dating back to 2009 when he faced a felony assault charge for attacking his then-girlfriend, singer Rihanna. Subsequent assault charges led to his incarceration in 2014. Recently, Brown pleaded guilty to assaulting a producer in a London nightclub.
The interaction between BTS members and Brown has sparked mixed reactions within the band’s fanbase, known as the ARMY. While some fans expressed disappointment and distanced themselves from the group, others defended J-Hope and RM’s attendance at the concert.
