In a recent revelation, Dani Dyer candidly discussed her past romantic entanglements with Sammy Kimmence and Jack Fincham, acknowledging that she had invested her emotions in the wrong individuals. The 29-year-old rose to fame after participating in the popular ITV reality show Love Island in 2018, where she emerged victorious alongside Jack.
Following her split from Jack shortly after their Love Island triumph, Dani entered into a relationship with Sammy, her former flame from before the show. This union resulted in the birth of their son, Santiago, in January 2021.
Unfortunately, Dani and Sammy parted ways in July of the same year after Sammy was convicted and sentenced to three years in prison for his involvement in a £34k scam. During a conversation with Jamie Laing on his podcast, Dani expressed remorse for her past choices but affirmed that she harbored no regrets regarding those connections.
Reflecting on her time with Sammy, Dani acknowledged that returning to that relationship was an error in judgment. She stated, “Before Love Island, he showed no inclination to settle down with me, exhibiting a history of being non-committal. I should not have revisited that chapter in my life. However, I have no regrets… becoming a mother to Santi has profoundly impacted me, and I am grateful for that.”
She also highlighted that she and Sammy were maintaining an amicable approach for the sake of their child, ensuring that Santiago did not experience any discomfort due to their circumstances.
Currently, Dani is a mother to twins, Summer and Star, with her husband Jarrod Bowen. She expressed occasional feelings of guilt over having split parents for her son.
Regarding her stance during Sammy’s incarceration, Dani admitted to not visiting him in prison and recognized her naivety in avoiding inquiries about his activities. She confessed, “I invested my emotions in the wrong person and chose to remain silent to shield Santi from any distress.”
Reflecting on her relationship with Jack, Dani shared that she believed she had found her life partner but eventually realized they had differing priorities. While she preferred a homely atmosphere, Jack leaned towards a more outgoing lifestyle. She concluded, “Our differences became apparent outside of our private world.”
