“Joshua’s Trainer’s Fatal Crash: Suspect Appears in Court”

The individual accused of involvement in the tragic car crash that resulted in the deaths of Anthony Joshua’s personal trainer, Latif Ayodele, and strength coach, Sina Ghami, has made a court appearance in Nigeria. The incident occurred near Lagos on December 29, where the two individuals lost their lives after their vehicle collided with a stationary lorry. Adeniyi Mobolaji Kayode, 46, attended Sagamu Magistrates Court in Ogun state near Lagos, with the hearing adjourned to March 13. He faces charges of causing death by dangerous driving and reckless driving.

Kayode, who has not yet entered a plea, was previously released on bail of approximately £2,600. In addition to the aforementioned charges, he is also accused of driving without due care and lacking a valid driver’s license, potentially leading to a life sentence. Prosecutors have requested more time to gather evidence for the case.

Anthony Joshua narrowly escaped death in the crash, recovering before being discharged from the hospital on New Year’s Eve. He has returned to the UK and is undergoing rehabilitation. Joshua expressed gratitude for the support received during his recovery, acknowledging the loss of his friends and their significant impact on his life. He emphasized the importance of preserving their legacy, stating that measures are in place to honor their dreams.
