A woman driving with her elderly mother in Merseyside experienced a terrifying incident when a stranger entered her car and stabbed a man in the back seat, likened to a scene from a horror movie.
The shocking attack occurred on Park Road South as the woman offered refuge to a man being pursued on the street. After inviting the man into her car, one of his pursuers unexpectedly entered and began stabbing him. Acting swiftly, the woman accelerated to shake off the attacker, enabling the wounded man to receive prompt medical attention at a hospital.
Recalling the ordeal, the woman, who chose to remain anonymous, initially thought the man she encountered may have been under the influence of drugs as he frantically tried car doors while shouting for help. She observed two individuals on a moped chasing him, with one wielding a knife.
The assailant proceeded to viciously stab the victim inside the car, causing chaos and bloodshed. The woman’s quick thinking and decisive action of accelerating forced the attacker out of the vehicle. Despite the traumatic event, she managed to locate the man’s residence after dropping off her mother, where she encountered his distressed family.
The injured man, aged 18, sustained two stab wounds to his leg but has since been released from the hospital. A 17-year-old suspect from Noctorum has been arrested in connection with the incident on charges of wounding with intent, robbery, and drug possession. The individual has been conditionally bailed pending further investigation.
