A traveler has likened the meals she received during her all-inclusive vacation to “dog food.”
Erin Wells and Jordan Evans had planned to mark their birthdays with a 10-night stay in Crete, Greece, at a four-star hotel that had positive online reviews. The couple spent £2,218 on the easyJet holiday but, dissatisfied with the food quality, ended up spending an additional £600 on meals at restaurants and pubs.
Erin, a hospital administrator, expressed her disappointment, stating that the lack of food labeling and unidentified meat were concerning. She recounted an incident where a chef could not confirm the meat’s identity. The couple also faced issues with their room flooding, mold on pool and sun loungers, and chose not to use the pool due to hygiene concerns.
While easyJet is working with the couple and the hotel to address the complaints, Erin desires a full refund, though she doubts they will receive one.
The young woman from Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, criticized the unappetizing desserts, describing them as inedible and resembling dog food. She emphasized that despite paying for an all-inclusive package, they had to spend extra on outside meals due to the poor hotel food quality.
Erin and Jordan selected Crete based on positive reviews, but their experience was far from enjoyable. Erin expressed disappointment in the misleading hotel photos and hoped for the hotel to be removed from the website.
An easyJet holidays spokesperson acknowledged Erin’s concerns and stated they are working to resolve the issues with the hotel partner for a better understanding of the situation.
