“Teenage Girl Missing from Rural Devon Village”

A teenage girl has disappeared from a rural village in Devon after she was last spotted getting into a vehicle on Halloween.

Authorities are asking for witnesses to come forward if they have seen Rosie, expressing growing worry for her well-being. Rosie, who has connections to Taunton and Bridgwater, was last seen in Holcombe Rogus, a countryside village in Devon, just before 5pm. Avon and Somerset Police have initiated an urgent search for the young girl and are urging anyone with information about her whereabouts to reach out.

Described as a white female standing approximately 5 feet 2 inches tall with straight brown hair, Rosie was last seen entering a blue Vauxhall Astra in Holcombe Rogus around 4:45 pm on Friday, October 31. Concerned citizens have taken to social media to share her missing person appeal, expressing their hopes for her safe return.

Holcombe Rogus, a tranquil rural community in Devon near the Somerset border, is characterized by its small, close-knit population. The town, situated in the Mid Devon council area, is in proximity to other parishes like Burlescombe and Hockworthy. The area surrounding Holcombe Rogus features farmland, the Grand Western Canal, and the Blackdown Hills.

Located about 35 minutes from Taunton and approximately 50 minutes from Bridgewater, the town is familiar territory for Rosie. According to a 2001 census, the parish’s population was recorded at 503 people.
