Recent Israeli airstrikes in southern Lebanon resulted in the deaths of at least 11 individuals, as reported by the country’s health ministry. This incident marked the deadliest attack since a ceasefire agreement was established in June to de-escalate tensions between Israel and Hezbollah, although sporadic attacks have persisted.
Residents and emergency responders in the affected area have raised concerns, alleging that Israeli forces deliberately ignited wildfires that have been devastating homes, forests, and olive groves in the region.
The ongoing situation has instilled apprehension among the local populace regarding their ability to remain in the area and the prospects of hundreds of thousands of war-displaced individuals ever being able to return.
