Apple is hosting its annual WWDC Developers Conference at its headquarters in Cupertino, California, unveiling a multitude of updates for its products. Among these updates for the iPhone are new features set to launch later in the year, offering improved customization, enhanced parental controls, quicker app launching, and a more intuitive Siri assistant. These enhancements are expected to provide a significant boost for users with compatible devices utilizing Apple Intelligence.
Initially introduced in 2024, Apple Intelligence faced challenges with several promised features not coming to fruition. The tech giant from the U.S. has dedicated efforts to enhance this smart service, now preparing to introduce the improvements to the general public.
Scheduled for release in September, Apple Intelligence is poised to simplify life by assisting in calendar organization and offering contextual suggestions based on users’ conversations in Messages. For instance, upon receiving a message requesting “photos of mum,” Apple Intelligence will promptly display relevant images from the user’s photo library.
Notable changes in the Safari browser include the addition of “Notify Me,” allowing users to track web page updates such as product restocks or price changes. Safari now features tabs that automatically categorize themselves by topic.
A standout feature pertains to photos, with the new Apple Intelligence excelling in image retouching and object removal. Users can now extend backgrounds without requiring advanced editing skills, and a feature called Spatial Reframing enables post-photo composition adjustments.
Craig Federighi, Apple’s senior vice president of Software Engineering, emphasized the company’s commitment to leveraging advanced technology to create user-friendly products. The updated Apple Intelligence, integrating powerful AI features for web browsing, creative expression, photo editing, and more, reflects Apple’s drive to personalize and enhance its platforms.
The enhanced Apple Intelligence is set to debut on iOS 27 this fall, available on various iPhone models including the iPhone 15 Pro, 15 Pro Max, iPhone 16 series, iPhone 17 models, and the iPhone Air.
