Oliver Bearman visibly struggled after a high-speed accident during the Japanese Grand Prix. The British racer urgently signaled for help after losing control of his Formula 1 car and crashing into a barrier.
Upon being assisted by marshals, Bearman appeared to be in significant pain, limping and eventually collapsing while clutching his right lower leg and ankle. Medical assistance was promptly dispatched to aid him.
Bearman was then taken to the circuit medical center for further evaluation. Haas later confirmed that X-rays showed no fractures, only a bruise on his right knee. The Grand Prix experienced a delay to repair the damaged Haas car and barrier.
The race resumed with Kimi Antonelli leading after a strategic pit stop, followed by Oscar Piastri in second place. Antonelli maintained his lead, with Lewis Hamilton making a strong comeback to challenge George Russell for third position.
Russell faced further setbacks during the race, dropping positions due to a deployment issue. Meanwhile, Piastri held onto second place ahead of Hamilton, who was losing ground to the leader, Antonelli.
Despite efforts to advance, Lando Norris remained in sixth place, while Max Verstappen encountered difficulties further down the grid. Verstappen struggled with his Red Bull car, hindering his attempts to overtake Pierre Gasly’s Alpine.
