EE has introduced new SIM plans designed to address a common issue faced by many customers – running out of data while on the go. The latest pay-as-you-go SIMs from EE will now come with a complimentary feature called “Data Parachute,” providing users with an additional 1GB of data if they unexpectedly exhaust their allowance.
According to EE, the “Data Parachute” feature aims to keep customers connected in various situations, whether it’s staying in touch with friends, using navigation apps like Maps, or simply needing extra data until they can top up their plan.
Starting at £10 per month, these new plans offer a range of benefits such as data rollover, which carries over any unused data to the next month, and free data boosts that add extra data to customers’ allowances. Additionally, EE pay-as-you-go customers can access the 5G network for enhanced performance and faster speeds.
The pricing for the new plans is as follows:
– £10 for 20GB
– £15 for 75GB
– £20 for 150GB
– £30 for 200GB
– £35 for Unlimited data
While EE’s Data Parachute is a unique offering, other providers like SMARTY and Giffgaff also have competitive deals in the market. SMARTY currently offers 80GB for £8 per month or Unlimited data for £20, while Giffgaff provides 75GB for £10 per month and 60GB for £13.
It’s advisable for consumers to compare different deals and select a plan based on their actual data usage to avoid unnecessary costs.
