Besides Zoe, other contenders for the position include Rylan Clark and the current It Takes Two hosts, Janette Manrara and Fleur East.
Zoe, who participated in Strictly Come Dancing in 2005 and later became the host of It Takes Two, has a history with the show. If she lands the presenting job, it would mark not only a comeback to Strictly but also a return to a prime-time slot on the BBC. Zoe’s decision to leave her Radio 2 Breakfast Show in 2024 came as a surprise after nearly six years on the program.
Discussing potential presenting partnerships, Zoe mentioned a preference for teaming up with Alan Carr, known for his role on The Celebrity Traitors. Zoe commended Tess and Claudia for their contributions to Strictly, acknowledging the challenge of following in their footsteps. Tess and Claudia, who have been associated with Strictly since 2004, announced their joint departure via Instagram, stating that it was the right time to leave the show they loved hosting together.
