The new Wi-Fi router allows users to download files and stream movies seamlessly without the need for fixed cables, offering flexibility in placement for renters or students who frequently change locations.
Installation of the device is hassle-free, as it operates on Vodafone’s network, eliminating the need for professional setup. Users can simply plug it in, power it on, and immediately connect to the internet. However, this system provides speeds of up to 150Mbps, suitable for activities like streaming Netflix, sending emails, and remote work, but falls short of the higher speeds achievable with full fiber connections exceeding 900Mbps.
To assist customers in selecting the most suitable connection, Vodafone has launched an integrated availability checker on their website, Vodafone.co.uk. By entering their postcode, users can determine whether full fiber or 5G Broadband offers the fastest speeds in their area. This initiative follows Vodafone’s discontinuation of the GigaCube in favor of this new 5G-enabled router.

Vodafone aims to expand access to high-speed internet by offering 5G Broadband alongside their existing full fiber services, providing customers with a range of choices based on availability and preferences.
Additionally, Vodafone’s pricing for 5G Broadband plans starts at £21 per month, while Three, now part of Vodafone, offers a similar home broadband service priced at £11 for the initial nine months. This move reflects Vodafone’s commitment to enhancing internet accessibility and affordability for a wider consumer base.
