Allen opened up about her creative process, sharing that she composed song titles prior to recording sessions and drew from personal experiences for emotional depth. The album features references to a character named Madeline, exploring complex emotions and avoiding portraying herself as a victim.
Additionally, Allen disclosed her use of dating platforms like Raya and her challenges with online dating post-breakup. She candidly revealed engaging in unique online activities as a coping mechanism but emphasized a shift away from such behaviors as she navigated her emotional journey.
