A savage murderer was apprehended for dismembering his victims and discarding their bodies near the famous Clifton Suspension Bridge. Yostin Andres Mosquera, a 35-year-old adult film performer, viciously attacked Alberto Alfonso, 62, in a recorded sexual encounter in Shepherd’s Bush, West London, on July 8. Prior to this, he fatally assaulted Alfonso’s partner, Paul Longworth, 71, with a hammer and tried to rob them.
Mosquera, a Colombian national, stayed at the victims’ residence, where he subsequently beheaded and dismembered them. He stored their heads in a freezer and transported the rest of their remains to Bristol in suitcases. His escape was foiled when bridge staff noticed a suspicious leak from one of his suitcases and confronted him, leading to his arrest at Bristol Temple Meads railway station.
During the court proceedings, Prosecutor Deanna Heer KC revealed that Mosquera meticulously planned the murders to facilitate theft, employing a hammer and knife in the respective killings. The murder of Alfonso was captured on film, showing Mosquera initiating the attack during a sexual act.
In a disturbing act, Mosquera danced naked as Alfonso bled to death. Justice Bennathan condemned the premeditated and heinous nature of the crimes and sentenced Mosquera to 40 years and 264 days in Woolwich Crown Court. Additionally, Mosquera pleaded guilty to child pornography charges before sentencing.
The judge lamented the loss of Longworth and Alfonso, describing them as a devoted couple well-regarded by their community, emphasizing the tragic impact of Mosquera’s actions on their lives.
